A perfect retreat in Pokhara’s tourist hub
Imagine a hotel that is just 75 m away from the main road, yet provides an idyllic retreat from the crowds and commotion of city life. Welcome to Hotel Barahi situated at Lakeside, Pokhara.
Started 15 years ago, the hotel was recently refurbished and upgraded to meet the changing taste of its visitors. Nine standard rooms and 12 deluxe rooms occupy two separate blocks that overlook a lush green lawn with a fish pond. The deluxe rooms are large with spacious attached bath and have AC and multi-channel TV. Hotel Barahi aims to fulfil all your requirements so that you feel at home even when you are away from home. The standard rooms have attached bath, fan, multi-channel TV and a private balcony. As with most hotels in Pokhara, each room comes with a view of the spectacular mountains.
“We have just refurbished the rooms, and we are concentrating on service,” says its Executive Director Biplab Paudel. A conference hall for 100 people has just been completed. The restaurant serves Nepalese, Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes.
The architecture is particularly striking with stone-built walls and corridors and stairways paved with stones brought from different parts of the country. It is located near some of Pokhara’s best pubs and shopping centers, yet peaceful Hotel Barahi makes for an ideal stopover.
